Allu Arjun, star of "Pushpa", honored with the Indian of the Year 2022 Award, becomes the first recipient from South Industry.
Actor and dancer Allu Arjun is from India and appears in Telugu movies. One of India's top-paid actors, he is. He has won numerous honors throughout his career, including the Film Fare and Nandi awards. With "Gangotri," he made his film debut in 2003.
Recently, the actor was honored with the Indian of the Year 2022 award hosted by CNN News18. Honorable Minister Smriti Irani awarded the actor who brought people back to the theatres with Pushpa and described it as a win for Indian cinema.
The actor looked overwhelmed by the award. He further added that he has been working in the industry for more than 20 years now and has received many awards in the South, but this one is special because it is the first ever award he has received in the North. He also commented on the north-south divide and happily added that, at the end of the day, Pushpa is an Indian film that was recognized and appreciated by the entire country, and he is glad to have served the entertainment industry for all these years.
The actor will resume the production of "Pushpa 2: The Rule" with director Sukumar and co-star Rashmika Mandanna, and has committed that he will not compromise, even on minor things, to meet the audience's extraordinary expectations.
