Today, Bollywood lost one of its legendary actors. At the age of 82, Vikram Gokhale passed away while seeking health care in a hospital in Pune. The veteran actor spent more than 15 days in the hospital and was in a critical state.

Social media users expressed their condolences as they paid tribute to the late star. As Aishwarya Rai Bachchan's father in the Sanjay Leela Bhansali-directed film "Hum Dil De Chuke Sanam," he gave a powerful performance (1999). Bollywood blockbusters including "Hey Ram," "Tum Bin," "Bhool Bhulaiya," "Hichki," and "Mission Mangal," to mention a few, also starred Vikram Gokhale. His final Bollywood movie, "Nikamma" (2022), starred Shilpa Shetty, Shirley Setia, and Abhimanyu Dassani.

In Pune, where he has lived for the past few years with his wife, Vikram Gokhale previously operated an acting school. his family consists of his wife Vrushali Gokhle and their two daughters. From a family of actors came Vikram Gokhale. In contrast to his father Chandrakant Gokhale, who worked in Marathi film and theatre, his grandmother was an actress.

In one of the interviews, The seasoned actor had recalled how Amitabh Bachchan had given him support when he first arrived in Bollywood. "I struggled a lot when I first started in this industry. I was in dire need of money at the time and searching for refuge in Mumbai. Amitabh Bachchan personally wrote a letter to Manohar Joshi, who served as the Chief Minister of Maharashtra from 1995 to 1999, after learning about this. And it was only because of his suggestion that I received a house from the government. I still possess the letter I had it framed. He knows me, and I know him, and that makes me so happy. Since 1955, we have been close friends. I adore his disposition and character.
