Varun Dhawan and Kriti Senon play the key characters in the upcoming Hindi horror comedy-drama Bhediya by Amar Kaushik and Dinesh Vijan. In addition to Varun and Kriti, the film stars Deepak Dobriyal from Hindi Medium and Abhishek Banerjee from Bala. Dr. Anika is represented by Kriti, and Bhaskar by Varun. In Arunachal Pradesh's Ziro, Sagalee, and Pakke-Kessang districts, between March and April 2021, filming for Bhediya took place. The majority of the Bhediya team is from Arunachal Pradesh. Arunachal native and rapper "K4 Kheko" will also appear in the movie. Along with singing the theme song, he also wrote the lyrics.

"Mimi" fame shares her first image from the movie in which she plays Dr. Anika, showing off her short hairstyle and carrying a large syringe in one hand. The first look poster was uploaded to Varun Dhawan's social media pages. On October 19, 2022, the trailer will officially debut, and the movie will open in theaters on November 25, 2022.

This is the third film in this genre that Dinesh Vijan has directed, following Stree (2018) and Roohi (2021). The upcoming film Munjha is a predecessor to Stree and is part of the horror-comedy series.
