The English writer D.H. Lawrence's novel, Lady Chatterley's Lover, is one of those controversial books that created a buzz in its era, about 94 years ago. In 1928, this novel was published and immediately banned by the British. It was banned all over the world where the British were in power. It was published in English and secretly in France and Italy. The book is still banned in India.

This book was also banned in countries like America, Canada, Australia, and Japan. There was litigation in all the countries regarding this matter, but eventually, the ban was lifted, except in India. The novel was accused of obscenity. But at different times, several films based on that book were made.

A new film based on this book is ready for release on Netflix and will also be available in India. British actors played the lead roles in the movie. Emma Corinne, who played Lady Diana in the popular series The Crown, and Jack O'Connell will be seen in the lead roles in the film. The film will be released on Netflix on December 2nd, 2022.
